LTC Partners Announces Rebrand to FedPoint
New name reinforces evolution of company in the federal marketplace

Portsmouth, NH (June 15, 2020): LTC Partners today announced that the everyday name under which it operates is now FedPoint. The rebrand is intended to bring the name into alignment with the company's evolution over the years and its future strategic direction.

The federal contractor has grown steadily since it was established in 2002 to administer the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), following the enactment of the Long-Term Care Security Act in 2000. Today, FedPoint serves as a leading third-party administrator of large-scale insurance and health benefit programs for millions of active and retired members of the federal civilian workforce and military, as well as their dependents.

"I view this change as an important milestone in our company's journey," said FedPoint CEO Paul Forte. "While the FLTCIP remains a star performer, with some 267,000 insureds, the new name and logo better convey the full suite of services we provide today, not to mention the scale of the programs we administer, our central position within the federal benefits landscape, our entry into the military market, and our continued mission to provide the highest level of service to our clients and stakeholders."

FedPoint, which has more than 400 full-time employees and many part-time and contracted employees around the country, is a division of John Hancock Life & Health Insurance Company. The new name was chosen in part to reflect the platforms and service centers the company builds and manages, which function as key points where multiple stakeholders converge, interact, and transact business. Perhaps the most notable example is BENEFEDS, a proprietary online platform and call center built under the auspices of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Through BENEFEDS the company handles enrollment, billing, and customer support functions for enrollees in the large Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP).

FedPoint will continue to provide the same technical knowledge, information security, and high-quality administrative service for insurance and benefit programs that have earned the company the trust of stakeholders, partners, and clients throughout the federal community for nearly two decades.

"We are leaving behind an old and trusted name, but we are becoming a far more capable and innovative company than we were," said Forte. "The rebrand is a better fit—not only with the company we are today, but also with the company we aspire to be."
