| The Oklahoma State Medical Association is part of a national network of medical associations that cooperates to represent medical doctors on local, state, and national issues. The 4,600 physician members of the association are also members of one of the 43 component county medical societies in this state. The Oklahoma State Medical Association is recognized throughout the Federation of Medicine as one of the nation's most successful state societies.
