George Matthew Jayatilaka, known most commonly as "Dr. Jay", founded Accountable Health Care IPA (AHCIPA) in 1993. He started the IPA on the premise that serving the local community of Long Beach would be better carried out with the formation of a network of highly qualified physicians and healthcare providers.
AHCIPA has since expanded to cover many parts of Los Angeles and west Orange Counties. Today, AHCIPA enjoys stable growth and now includes a member base of 35,000. Our network includes 500 of the Southland's finest physicians and 85 hospital affiliations.

AHCIPA is not only a physician's group but is also a Managed Services Organization (MSO). Our management team is comprised of well-educated and experienced professionals in the Managed Health Care industry.  We are highly capable in managing organizations, whether large or small in the most cost effective manner without compromising quality of care and services.
