Blue Cross Blue Shield Association president and CEO Scott P. Serota issued the following statement today regarding House passage of the American Health Care Act:
“Americans are best served by a competitive, private health insurance market that offers people the choices they want at a price they can afford. We are committed to ensuring that everyone, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, can access coverage that is affordable for them. Tax credits must take into account a consumer's age, income and geographic location to make sure people can afford coverage and care; there must be strong incentives so people stay continuously covered; and Medicaid must be adequately funded to protect our most vulnerable Americans." ... |
