CHA’s mission is to advance the health of individuals and communities by leading, representing, and serving hospitals and their related healthcare organizations that are accountable to the community and committed to health improvement.

• Leadership in fostering an environment within which integrated delivery systems can be created and thrive.
• Assistance to the membership in ensuring quality, increasing efficiency and effectiveness, containing costs, and enhancing revenue.

A Board of Trustees – composed primarily of acute care hospital CEOs as well as hospital trustees, clinicians, and other healthcare executives – governs CHA, determining policy and direction for the Association. CHA members play an active role in the organization, serving on standing and special committees and subcommittees to offer input on critical policy considerations and decisions on CHA activities and focus.
