MedLion was created by a group of family doctors in Monterey, California, to help uninsured and underinsured individuals access basic healthcare. Access Primary Care offers economically-attractive primary care, with a strong focus on prevention as well as treatment.
For someone without health insurance, a visit to a regular doctor can cost $150. A walk-in clinic can charge in excess of $200. An ER visit can cost hundreds more. With the expense of healthcare, many patients defer visits due to cost until it’s too late.
MedLion grants comprehensive primary care for $49 a month, and $10 a visit.
