| The independent physician association (IPA) model enables physicians in the community to affiliate with HealthCare Partners, providing them with access to a number of managed care contracts. These regional IPAs comprise more than 500 primary care physicians, supported by 1,400 specialists. The IPA service area surrounds HealthCare Partners’ staff model offices, providing the regional patient populations of the San Fernando Valley, Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, central Los Angeles, and the South Bay with more physician choices. |
